With all the furor surrounding football players, patriotism and political protest, this seems to me a good time to revisit an old comedic take on a similar outrage du jour.
This sketch, circa 2003, is used by kind permission of my fellow colleagues in A Cast of Thousands, and features me as the narrator, a uniquely reprehensible person. I had forgotten how much fun it was to embody him, even for a brief time.
By the way, no actual flags were harmed during the production of this sketch. Michael, on the other hand, is toast.
Hope you enjoy.
